The ministries of the First Baptist Church of South Orange “Impact the World for Christ” by meeting the needs of members, visitors, sisters and brothers in the community and beyond, while also collaborating with other churches and community organizations to do God’s will. While managing careers, families and personal lives our membership willingly and abundantly donate their time, skills and resources to carry out the Great Commission and serve as witnesses of God’s saving grace.

Community Development Corporation
The Eternal Light Community Development Corporation was founded in 2005 by Reverend Terry L. Richardson and the congregation of the First Baptist Church of South Orange. Eternal Light is a nonprofit 501(C)3 corporation organized to provide services that impact the families and communities in South Orange and the greater surrounding area. Building on the 114 year heritage of its founding members, which has serviced the South Orange/Maplewood and the immediate and surrounding communities of Newark, Irvington, East Orange and Orange.
Eternal Light Community Development Corporation is proud to be founded as a faith based community development organization.

Eternal Light CDC is dedicated to restoring family wholeness and equipping individuals to participate more fully in the family unit, and thus impacting, positively the greater community.
