Ways of giving

Online
Anyone who would like to give to Church of Christ online is welcome to do so through our church website. The system makes it easy to quickly transfer money from a bank account or debit card to the church safely and securely. One-time gifts and recurring withdrawals can both be set up, and gifts can be given either to the church's general fund or a specific church project.

In Person
At the First Baptist Church of South Orange, we'll continue to take an offering during the service for people who prefer to give by cash or check.

Mail
Both members and supporters can mail a commitment to First Baptist Church of South Orange, P.O. Box 56, 103 Valley Road, South Orange, New Jersey 07079

Capital Stewardship Campaign
Living Our Faith from Generation to Generation

For he that soweth to his flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.” Galatians 6:8-10.

In 2010, we launched a two-phase capital campaign. Phase One we received $1,500,000 in pledges and contributions since our initial campaign launch. Phase Two has just begun. Our financial commitment to reach our goal is $5,000,000.00.
We trust in God and thank in advance for helping to achieve God’s vision for First Baptist Church of South Orange.

Bible Verse

  • Matthew 11:28-30
"Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."
